Locsin Point is an area of pristine coral reef that is simply stunning and largely unspoiled. We began to dive at this site regularly last year as part of our ‘Manila Channel’ dive but the site became so popular that we found that we were spending most of our dive time in this one area so; we decided to give the site a name and do it separately!
Named after the Locsin family who own many hectares of protected land in this area adjacent to this fabulous dive site the topography itself is like a large coral headland that protrudes perpendicularly into the ebbing and flooding current. The hard corals that grow here are fed with clean cool waters from the deep and grow in abundance. There are often pelagic fishes such as Bumphead Parrotfish here and Spanish Mackerel and Barracuda too. Exploring the coral reef closely can often reveal many macro subjects and occasionally a Stonefish. Not to be missed.
