Chris Carroll and I discovered this dive site together in mid 2009 whilst doing a few exploratory dives in the area. We found a wall that starts up in the shallows and is covered in soft corals. Hiding among these are many Cowry Shells. The base of the wall is at 9-12m and the gravel bottom found there is home to a Giant Clam and many short corals and Sea Whips flourish here. A variety of macro subjects can be found for divers with a keen eye for detail.
The seabed slopes off to a lip at 24m and along this lip grow some nice Gorgonian Fans and Basket Sponges. There are a number of small holes under the lip where groupers and small sharks can hide. The area is best dived on a flood tide as the current can be quite strong on the ebb and pulls divers across the next bay which regrettably, has been the target for dynamite fishermen in recent years.
