Ponderosa Golf Trip 8th October 2010

A bunch of us guys headed up the mountainside to Ponderosa Golf Club to play the 9 hole course and get away from it all! What great fun we had :)

A bunch of us guys headed up the mountainside to Ponderosa Golf Club to play the 9 hole course and get away from it all! The jeepney saw us there safely...

Our Caddies for the day were great, they chose our clubs for us (as most of us were total golf virgins) and gave us advice on where to aim and how to swing properly and our stance and things...so very helpful! Guy teeing off at the first hole

Ponderosa Rainforest
Jason Aussie barefoot champion! Chris teeing off. See how low the rainclouds are clinging to the rain forest that covers the mountain ridge behind us! Andy teeing off, quoted as saying he plays better on these clubs than his expensive ones at home LOL
Russ teeing off. The holes were quite challenging and the fairways were very well planned out, 5 holes down the hillside and 4 holes up Breathtaking views. The high elevation meant that the air was a few degrees cooler and there was always a nice fresh breeze blowing. Stunning landscape on the mountainside. The course is spread out along the mountainside here, its easy to get around with a few stairs in places

Mike found a friend there!

On the way to the third hole! Jason's favourite... It's what golf is all about really !
Have stubby, will travel! You can take a bloke out of Australia but you'll never take Australia out of the bloke :) This little guy paid us a visit! Flora and Fauna in abundance everywhere!
LtoR: Andy, Ross, Chris, Neil LtoR: Jason, Gert, Guy, Niclas, Mike Jason's Triumphant return to the Clubhouse!
Team 1 played so much worse than team two so we decided to doctor the score cards and wind them all up LOL We enjoyed it so much and had a few laughs over some ice cold beers at the clubhouse after the game. We headed over to Talipanan for some pizza to finish the day off - I think we will have to do this again in a couple weeks time :)
