Feeling like a day out with friends exploring the local countryside? We have a fleet of dune buggies available which can be rented on an hourly, half daily or daily basis. Our dune buggies are easy to drive, well maintained and are fitted with seat belts and roll cage for your safety. Don't know where you are going? No problem, guided safaris are available and we can also provide you with a local map. Take in the sights at Ponderosa, lunch at Talipanan or Tamaraw Falls and explore some of the beaches and villages on the way.

In the high season, we have regular barbeque parties at Bulabod beach. This beautiful location has several small cabanas skirting alongside the hot sand offering plenty of shade from the bright sunshine and a perfect spot for relaxing with a cold beer or glass of chilled Chardonnay! An underground spring slowly meanders some 100 metres into the sea, giving revellers a fantastic place to bathe in the cool fresh water after a swim in the warmth of the sea. Big Apple lay on a big Aussie style spread for the barbeque with cooks and waitresses to cater for all your wants on this fun day out!

For a really exciting day out why not try your hand at the shooting range?

There's nothing like the satisfaction of shooting live ammo, especially when you are coached by top class professional instructors with years of experience and a first class safety record. There are a range of hand guns to choose from starting with .22 calibre bullets, and going up through 9mm, .38 to .45 calibre.

The real thrill seekers with a keen eye or just a lust for LOUD weapons may even like to try the M16A1 Assault rifle!....(earplugs provided!)....A highly recommended excursion where friends can get together to compete on the range and enjoy a few cold beers afterwards!

A 45 minute jeepney ride from the town of Puerto Galera will take you to the four rivers, where you continue by foot or buffalo cart to get to Tukuran Falls, a beautiful spot where the waterfalls have carved out the surrounding boulders over thousands of years into pools and small falls. A must for the nature lover, a day trip with picnic lunch and drinks can be organised. Stop along the way at Tamaraw Falls and taste the sweet natural spring water and enjoy the outstanding scenery, the old growth forest, and beautiful rock formations below the waterfall. Bathe in the pools, bask in the sun, and just relax!

Sea kayaking combines much of the appeal of hiking with a maritime aspect, few access issues and a seemingly near unlimited area to enjoy. Sea Kayaking is an ideal way to go on a kayak tour by yourself and discover the natural beauty of Puerto Galera. Single or Double Ocean Kayaks are available for rent by the hour or for half or full day.

Moored just offshore from the resort in Sabang Bay is the famous Floating Bar.

Join us for an afternoon's relaxation of swimming and frolicking. Rent a mask and go snorkeling with our friendly colorful fishes and corals, try out our waterslide or just sit back and enjoy the view.

Feel like getting away from Sabang for an hour or two, and getting some exercise into the bargain? There are a number of walking trails around Sabang which offer stunning views of the surrounding ocean, as well as the neighboring villages and jungle. Our staff can give you directions to the “Lalaguna loop” or to the light house.
The more adventurous can reach greater heights by joining the wednesday hike to the hinterlands of Puerto Galera organised by local expats who depart around 8:30am (check the evening before) from the jeepney stop in Sabang and return early afternoon. Be sure to wear a hat, sunscreen, good shoes and carry at least 2 litres of water.

Started in Kuala Lumpur in 1938 by bored expats who decided they needed some exercise with their gin tonics, the Hash_House_Harriers now have over 1,840 clubs worldwide in 178 countries. Hashing is a social version of Hare and Hounds, where you join the pack of hounds (runners) to chase down the trail set by the hare or hares (other runners), then gather together for a bit of social activity known as the On-On or Down Down with refreshment, humor, song and sometimes a feast.
The Hashers meet every Saturday at 3pm at Captain Greggs on Sabang Beach, just 50m from Big Apple. Cost for non members is 450 pesos, which includeds T-shirt and refreshments after the run.

For nearly 50 years Puerto Galera has attracted scientists studying the eco-structure of microorganisms, animals and plants. The snorkeling is famous for its diversity and guests return time after time to marvel at creatures large and small. This is something for the whole family! There are many deserted beaches in the vicinity, and most are easily accessible by boat. You can also rent snorkeling equipment for the day, or purchase mask, fins & snorkel from our retail shop.

The beautiful Ponderosa Golf Course situated at the foot of Mount Malasimbo has a challenging 9-hole course and stunning views (some of the best in the area). Don't miss this opportunity to view Puerto Galera and the entire bay and surrounding area from 450 meters above sea level, so don't forget your camera!

All clubs, balls etc. are available for rent, and the staff will carry your drinks and find your lost balls for you.

Only 30 minutes from Puerto Galera lies the biggest reptile collection in Asia – more than 1000 reptiles and other animals, many of the critically endangered. Come say hello to the Black Mambas, Philippine Spitting Cobras and local lizards. The Zoo also rescues and treats injured and orphaned wild life. A true wild experience!

Puerto Galera offers one of the most beautiful destinations in the world in which to sail, with crystal-clear, warm tropical waters 365 days a year. Found at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club is a small fleet of Lawin dinghies perfect for small boat sailing around the harbour adjacent to the town proper. Under expert guidance from training manager Eric, wanna be sailors can take to the seas for a couple of hours every 'Wet Wednesday' for a thrilling sailing experience; a lot of fun in these small boats! If you want to join the fleet at the 'Wet Wednesday' sailing experience, then be at the PGYC at 1.30pm on any Wednesday. Non members P350 (including a post-event drink and pica pica!).

Laser Mission is a live action, combat game using completely safe infra red light technology, the same as your TV remote. Kind of like a video game but played for real. Played in a jungle or urban setting you and your pals can experience the thrill of blasting each other away with these high tech laser guns that have all the sound effects of a real weapon and really get the adrenaline going! All the fun of paintball without the pain or any of the sticky mess!

The Mangyans are the indigenous peoples of Mindoro. These "nomads of nature" used to travel in entire families from one place to another by foot, but settled years ago in the mountains. You will witness their daily life of primitive survival. Its advisable to take a guide if you wish to visit them. And why not check out the hanging bridge, whilst in the area?
